Best Healthy Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale
Market 17 in Fort Lauderdale is an amazing fine to table restaurant, I’m pretty sure it’s the best healthy restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. We loved that they had outdoor seating in an enclosed garden space with a water feature, inside was a darkened romantic room with modern décor. The staff was friendly and it was fairly easy to get a reservation as the dining room is quite large.
I was intrigued by the idea of dark dining – where they serve all food in the dark so that you can truly experience the flavors and the cuisine. When we ate, I reminded myself to slow down, close my eyes to enjoy every morsel and enjoy every bite I did. We started out with fresh raw oysters in the shell with horseradish shavings, lemon and a nice spicy homemade cocktail sauce.
The house made charcuterie is something you MUST try. It is served with homemade chutneys, mustards and pickling’s. We fell in love with the lamp pate and the Haseholm Camembert from NY and we enjoyed the Garam masala pork sausage.
For dinner Mark selected the butter poached Maine lobster with red beet risotto with arugula herb tip salad shape to green beans blood orange gastrique I had the grass fed beef tenderloin with extra red wine demi glace served with Yukon mashed potatoes cauliflower bagna cauda and kale and it was absolutely to die for. So tender and so delicious and paired very nicely with the petite Syrah.
On a scale of 1-10 we rate this restaurant a 9.5.
